Jeremy Minnier isn't like most college students. In 2011, as a high school senior, he was elected as the mayor of Aredale, Iowa. At the age of 18, Jeremy was one of the youngest serving mayors in the nation. He just completed his term and didn’t seek re-election. Even though he didn’t run for a second term, he does have plans to stay involved in his community. Jeremy is currently a Horticulture Science student at 靠谱买球app推荐 and will graduate in May.
周三, 1月8日, Jeremy was invited to speak to this year’s class of the 雪松谷 Leadership Institute. Along with 滑铁卢 Mayor Buck Clark, he spoke about leadership in city, 县, 州政府.
The 雪松谷 Leadership Institute is a 专业发展 series designed for business members who want to develop and strengthen their leadership skills within the community. Monthly sessions focus on a variety of topics including community volunteering, 多样性, and economic development in the 雪松谷. The Institute is offered by the Greater 雪松谷 Alliance and Chamber.
